Top 5 LBI Fourth of July Fun

From parades to fireworks and seaside festivals, LBI sure knows how to celebrate the Fourth of July!  If you are lucky enough to be spending it on the island we are sharing the top 5 things to do to celebrate the 4th in style.  So grab your red, white and blue gear and get ready for some fun!

1. Festival of the Sea at St. Francis of Assisi Church

Who doesn’t love a carnival? Don’t miss this LBI tradition. It is an epic way to celebrate the Fourth of July, featuring rides, carnival games, food and even a beer garden!  And if you can’t make it on the 4th, don’t worry the festival runs from July 1-5

2. Surf City Fireworks, Bayfront at Surf City Bay Beach

You can never have enough fireworks! Get in on the early Fourth of July celebration early with the Surf City Fireworks taking place a day early on July 3rd. The show will begin at dusk so grab your chairs and sit back and take it all in.

3. Beach Haven Fireworks, Bayfront at Taylor Avenue

You won’t want to miss this fireworks show in Beach Haven. Every year the sky lights up with colors around 9:30 right over the Bay.  It can be seen from miles around so grab a seat and prepare to be amazed!

4. Barnegat Light Independence Day Parade

How about some Fourth of July celebrating with a great view of Old Barney.  Join in on this annual tradition in Barnegat Light. The parade begins at 5:30 at West 11th Street and will wind its way to Bay Breeze Park right next to the lighthouse.

5. Craft Day by the Bay, Harvey Cedars

Okay, technically, this event is on July 5th, but it still makes our list of Fourth of July fun. There will be lots of vendors showcasing all of their amazing art and crafts goods and sure to be something for everyone.  And if you are still feeling crafty check out our Long Beach Island Coloring Book that is sure to bring out the inner artist in everyone.

No matter what you are doing to commemorate July Fourth, we are all so lucky if we get to spend it on Long Beach Island!
